A passport can be defined as an official document that is usually issued by the local government of a particular country with the personal information of the holder namely date of birth, full names, nationality, finger print and even the passport photo; this is to certify that he ors he is a citizen of that particular country and use this as a ticket to travel to other foreign countries under its protection. When applying for a passport you should be able to know the kind of passport that you are looking for. This is because they are always categorized into three namely a regular passport, child passport and a temporary passport. All these three are always taken under certain terms and conditions which the applicant must meet in order to be able to get issued with one. The following is the description of the three passports that you can get from your country.

The regular passport is the most common type of passport. All the countries issue this type of passport as the website shows. They might differ in terms of their appearance but they will all have the holder’s information. Regular passports are only issued to people above the age of fifteen. The applicant might not be travelling at that particular time but they will just have it just incase. All regular passports have got serial numbers and passports that are unique to just them. It can also last for just a few years depending of the county where you get it from. Once it has expired you will be forced to renew it.

The child passport is the second one. This is the also common because it is only issued to children. Those kids that are under the age of fifteen cannot be given a regular passport. The child passport do not have a lot of information apart from the basic information. Some of the information that you will find in the passport include the full name of the child, the nationality and the passport photo of the kid. Any child will get to own a child passport only with a valid reason and this will take some time.

The last one is the temporary passport. Just as the name suggests a temporary passport is only issued for a limited period of time. This is always given to those people who do not have a regular passport and need to travel to another country urgently. There are also some countries that you can travel to minus a regular passport as you learn more. In such cases then you will go and get a temporary passport which will only be valid for the number of days that you will be in that particular country.
